Next u are looking for a Chemist for a Swedish and global fashion company. The mission is scheduled to start on Nov. 1, 2013 and will run until November 31, 2014. You will work as a consultant for Next u. The company is located in Stockholm.

Job description
• Chemical Restrictions for specified products/materials in all countries and for all brands within the company.
• Collect relevant chemical related standards and regulations. Evaluate the information and set importance for the company.
• Set, implement, up-date and follow up chemical restrictions, standards, routines, methods and guidelines within the company.
• Ensure all relevant staff is kept up to date with the company chemical restrictions.
• Proactively identify potential chemical related safety and environmental issues and find solutions.
• Evaluate current chemical issues and incidents and identify weak points to be improved.
• Share problems and solutions with related parties in order to prevent them from re-occurring.
• Cooperate with relevant external parties like working groups, standard organisations, authorities and NGO’s.

The person we are looking for
• Has a university degree in chemistry/environmental science and at least 2 years working experience
• Has good knowledge of materials and production processes, especially for textiles and leather
• Has the ability to read and evaluate standards, legislation and newsletters from external parties
• Is a good communicator and has great networking skills
• Hold good written and verbal skills in English
• Is structured and organised
• Is a team player
• Is quality and environmentally focused
